There are many ways in which individuals and corporates alike can contribute to the fight against rhino poaching.
Financial contributions can be made directly and securely to RAGE. All funds received are administered and disbursed by KPMG, and all grants made are available for public scrutiny at any time. Donors may also be able to "adopt" a particular project that particularly reflects their desired involvement by providing the majority of funding needed by that project. Contact
donations@rhinoactiongroup.org in order to find out more about how to donate. Alternatively, funds can be deposited directly into RAGE's bank account, as follows: Rhino Action Group Effort, Standard Bank (Sandton City branch), Account number 021535744, Branch Code 018105.
Contributions of
material assets and/or expertise are extremely valuable in their own right, and may also have the effect of releasing funds to be used in other essential aspects of the anti-poaching campaign. Please write with details of what you can offer to
donations@rhinoactiongroup.org and you will be contacted by a RAGE committee member.
Information is perhaps the most important type of contribution of all. If you know of any activities, past or planned, that you suspect may be linked to rhino poaching, or the illegal trade in rhino horn, you can forward this information in complete confidence and with a guarantee of anonymity, by phoning the National Wildlife Crime Reaction Unit hotline:
0800 205 005. Alternatively, you can submit your information, again with total anonymity, to the SA Police emergency number,
0860 10111. Both these hotline numbers are toll-free.
Unfortunately, RAGE is unable to endorse fund-raising activities directly, but RAGE branding can be used passively in fund-raising communications to show RAGE as a beneficiary.
